Expanding on the feelings of rejection, I wrote this song about how I’ve felt rejected by those around me for the pain I carry. I am basically telling my younger self about how terribly difficult it is to connect with others as a result of the accident. How I wanna be chosen for what I can give even though I don’t have the means at the moment to do so, and how I want patience from the people around me to wait as I arrive. I always do; it just takes me a little longer because I hurt.
